Born in the year of the Dog into a Filipino Chinese Spanish (with a hint of Cuban) family, my childhood was full of don’t-do-this and don’t-do-thats. The arts were tolerated, but not encouraged, so I did not know I was artistic until my attempts at making visual aids for my students started to get rave reviews.  Over the years I’ve studied painting, ceramics, weaving, and other art forms, and continue to find new skills to learn — including playing the ukulele. Technology is the latest venture, and it is opening up a whole new world of creativity!  Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?
